The Waffle Barn LLC was founded in Colorado in 2010 based on the recognition of a growing demand for Belgian Waffles and the success of similar business models at ski resorts nationally. Our mission is to provide the most mouth-watering Belgian waffles, along with the highest quality service, that will enhance the world-class ski resort experience. While our immediate focus to successfully launch one Waffle Barn by November 1st, 2010, our long term vision is to expand to over a dozen Waffle Barns within the State of Colorado within the next 5 years.

The Waffle Barn’s founding members, Russell Altman, Richard Kourbage and Ross Altman, are longtime friends and family members and devoted social entrepreneurs that have made developing creative sustainable solutions their top priority. Through due diligence, extensive research and a grassroots approach of getting involved in local communities and global organizations such as 1% For The Planet, the Waffle Barn has created strategic alliances with the best in the industry. We also emphasize promoting and using local business wherever applicable.
